न शशाक समुद्वोढुं वज्रसारमयं शिशुम् ॥
बालस् ताम्रतलं मुष्टिं कृत्वा चास्ये निधाय सः ॥
प्राक्रोशद् अतिसंरम्भात् सतोय इव तोयदः ॥

"Then that rakshasi, O king, her eyes wide with astonishment, could not lift the child, as though it were made of diamond; and the child, clenching its copper-palmed fist and putting it into its mouth, cried out with great fury, like a cloud full of rain."

Here the child shows superhuman strength — hard as diamond, thunderous of voice. It is significant that the power given him from above is innate; yet that same power, without dharma, will turn into tyranny. The verse shows that a great gift in itself is neither good nor evil — its use determines which it becomes; and next, the court comes running.
