译文

This is a desirable object. What follows thereafter will be what is destined. One should not forgo the chance to form friendship with a righteous man. Therefore the friendship of the righteous should be sought. The friendship of the righteous is like excellent wealth, for the wise will give counsel when it is needed. The friendship of a good man is of great benefit; therefore a wise man should not wish to kill a righteous one. Indra is honored by the righteous; he is a refuge for magnanimous people; he is truthful and blameless, knows what virtue is, and possesses refined judgment. Let there be eternal friendship between you and Indra, as described above. Thus, trust (in him); let your heart not incline otherwise.'
