"And peace will bring happiness, child, to most of your kinsmen and friends, O scorcher of foes, as it will to the whole world. You are modest, born in a noble lineage, learned, and not cruel; stand, child, by the instruction of your father and mother, O bull among the Bharatas. The wise consider it the greater good, O Bharata, what a father commands; everyone who falls into extreme danger remembers a father's command. Your father, child, is pleased by union with the Pandavas together with your counsellors, O best of the Kurus; may this please you too, child. A mortal who, having heard the counsel of friends, does not accept it, is consumed by it in the end, as though he had eaten the kimpaka fruit."
