译文

"The elephants trumpet mournfully, the horses shed tears, and they do not gladly take their water and fodder, O Madhava. When such omens appear, O mighty-armed one, they say that a terrible danger destructive of living beings has drawn near. Though little is eaten, abundant dung is seen here from horses, elephants, and men, O Keshava. In all the armies of the son of Dhritarashtra, O Madhusudana, the wise call this a sign of defeat. The mounts of the Pandavas, O Krishna, are said to be joyful; wild beasts circle them on the right, and that is a sign of their victory."
