कौन्तेयेनाग्रतः सृष्टा न्यपतन् पृष्ठतः शराः ॥
तूर्णात् तूर्णतरं ह्य् अश्वास् ते ऽवहन् वातरंहसः ॥
वातोद्धूतपताकान्तं रथं जलदनिस्वनम् ॥
घोरं कपिध्वजं दृष्ट्वा विषण्णा रथिनो ऽभवन् ॥

译文
The arrows the Kaunteya shot ahead fell behind him, so swift did the horses carry him — faster than the fastest, swift as the wind. Seeing that chariot with its banner-ends billowing in the wind, rumbling like a thundercloud, terrible, bearing the monkey standard, the chariot-warriors were dismayed.

So great is the speed of the refreshed horses that arrows shot ahead fall behind the racing chariot. The banner bearing Hanuman ('kapidhvajam') and the rumble like a thundercloud cast the enemy into gloom. It is significant that the care given to the horses returned this unprecedented swiftness. The verse teaches that restored strength achieves the impossible: rested horses outrun their own arrows; and the compassionate care that briefly halted the journey turned into a speed never known before — goodness does not delay a task but gives it wings.
