एष द्रोणं तथा भोजं कृतवर्माणम् एव च ॥
कदर्थीकृत्य विशिखैः फल्गुनाभ्येति सात्यकिः ॥
धर्मराजप्रियान्वेषी हत्वा योधान् वरान् वरान् ॥
शूरश् चैव कृतास्त्रश् च फल्गुनाभ्येति सात्यकिः ॥
कृत्वा सुदुष्करं कर्म सैन्यमध्ये महाबलः ॥
तव दर्शनम् अन्विच्छन् पाण्डवाभ्येति सात्यकिः ॥
बहून् एकरथेनाजौ योधयित्वा महारथान् ॥
आचार्यप्रमुखान् पार्थ आयात्य् एष हि सात्यकिः ॥
eṣa droṇaṃ tathā bhojaṃ kṛtavarmāṇam eva ca ||
kadarthīkṛtya viśikhaiḥ phalgunābhyeti sātyakiḥ ||
dharmarājapriyānveṣī hatvā yodhān varān varān ||
śūraś caiva kṛtāstraś ca phalgunābhyeti sātyakiḥ ||
kṛtvā suduṣkaraṃ karma sainyamadhye mahābalaḥ ||
tava darśanam anvicchan pāṇḍavābhyeti sātyakiḥ ||
bahūn ekarathenājau yodhayitvā mahārathān ||
ācāryapramukhān pārtha āyāty eṣa hi sātyakiḥ ||
"He, having humbled with arrows Drona, and also Bhoja and Kritavarman, comes to Phalguna — Satyaki. Seeking to please the King of Dharma, having slain the finest among warriors, both brave and skilled in weapons, comes to Phalguna — Satyaki. Having accomplished the most difficult feat amid the army, the mighty one, desiring to see you, comes to the Pandava — Satyaki. Having drawn many great warriors, with the teacher [Drona] foremost, into battle with a single chariot, he comes, o Partha — Satyaki."

Krishna's praise repeats as a refrain "comes Satyaki" — the feat is honored not as self-glory but as service: all is done "to please the King of Dharma" and "desiring to see you." It is significant that the greatest deed is accomplished for the sake of meeting, not for the sake of fame. The verse teaches that valor directed toward others is nobler than any other; and a hero who fights for his king and friend earns praise that one who fights for himself could never win.
