यस्मिन् दानं दमः शौचम् अहिंसा ह्रीर् धृतिः क्षमा ॥
अनपायीनि सर्वाणि नित्यं राज्ञि युधिष्ठिरे ॥
मृदङ्गकेतोस् तस्य त्वं तेजसा निहतः पुरा ॥
सकर्णसौबलः संख्ये विनाशं समुपेष्यसि ॥
शपे ऽहं कृष्णचरणैर् इष्टापूर्तेन चैव ह ॥
यदि त्वां ससुतं पापं न हन्यां युधि रोषितः ॥
अपयास्यसि चेत् त्यक्त्वा ततो मुक्तो भविष्यसि ॥
एवम् आभाष्य चान्योन्यं क्रोधसंरक्तलोचनौ ॥
प्रवृत्तौ शरसंपातं कर्तुं पुरुषसत्तमौ ॥

译文

'By an army under the mridanga-standard of that king in whom charity, self-restraint, purity, non-violence, modesty, steadfastness, and forbearance all abide unfailing — always, in King Yudhishthira — you shall soon be struck down by his might, and together with Karna and Saubala [Shakuni] you shall come to destruction in the clash. I swear by the feet of Krishna and by the merit of good deeds: if I, enraged, do not slay you, the wicked one, along with your son, in battle!' Having spoken thus to one another, with eyes crimson from wrath, the best of men set about an exchange of arrows.
