译文

"'Unwaning, unconquerable, having laid down his weapon, he was slain in battle by your word; yet fighting, not even Shatakratu [Indra] could have struck him down. Against that aged Acharya, ever our benefactor, treachery has been committed by us -- ignoble, small-minded men -- for the sake of a kingdom. Sons, brothers, fathers, wives, and life itself -- I, the son of Vasava [Indra], would have given up all of it out of love for him; my teacher indeed knows this.'"
