यथा यथा ह्य् अयुध्यन्त पाण्डवानां महारथाः ॥
तथा तथा तद् अस्त्रं वै व्यवर्धत जनाधिप ॥
वध्यमानास् तथास्त्रेण तेन नारायणेन वै ॥
दह्यमानानलेनेव सर्वतो ऽभ्यर्दिता रणे ॥
यथा हि शिशिरापाये दहेत् कक्षं हुताशनः ॥
तथा तद् अस्त्रं पाण्डूनां ददाह ध्वजिनीं प्रभो ॥

译文

The more the great chariot-warriors of the Pandavas fought, the more that weapon grew, O lord of peoples. Struck down thus by that weapon, the Narayana, as though burned by fire, they were pressed on every side in battle. As at winter's end fire would burn dry grass, so that weapon burned the army of the Pandus, O lord.
