The last name of the litany: sarvam, “the all”.
Thirty-one sections in a row enumerated one by one — Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Skanda, Indra, fire, wind, the lights, the worlds, the elements, time, death, the colours. And now it is said simply: all.
That is the right end for such a roll. To continue would be to pretend the list could be complete.
Note that the name sarva belongs to Śiva himself: so he is called in the Śatarudriya, and tradition counts it one of his eight names.
The last word of the litany, then, is at once the sum and one more proper name.
The next section will change the whole structure of the speech: the gods will cease speaking about Him and address Him as “thou”.
