译文

For the Lord Rudra is all-pervading; and when he lies at rest, enjoying, then by Rudra the creatures are drawn in. At the out-breath there is darkness, from darkness the waters; the waters, churned by the finger — into cold; the cold, being churned, becomes foam; from the foam comes the egg, from the egg Brahmā, from Brahmā the wind, from the wind the Oṃkāra, from the Oṃkāra the Sāvitrī, from the Sāvitrī the Gāyatrī, from the Gāyatrī the worlds. They honour austerity and truth, they pour out honey — that which is firm; for this is the highest austerity: “the waters, the light, the savour, the immortal, Brahman, bhūḥ, bhuvaḥ, svaḥ, Om, homage.”
