Devanāgarī
रजसि प्रलयं गत्वा कर्मसङ्गिषु जायते ।
तथा प्रलीनस्तमसि मूढयोनिषु जायते ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
rajasi pralayaṁ gatvā karma-saṅgiṣu jāyate |
tathā pralīnas tamasi mūḍha-yoniṣu jāyate ||

Translation
“One who dies in the mode of passion is born among those attached to action for its fruits. And one who dies in the mode of ignorance is born in the bodies of unintelligent beings.”
