गन्धर्व उवाच
अथ तस्याम् अदृश्यायां नृपतिः काममोहितः ॥
पातनः शत्रुसंघानां पपात धरणीतले ॥
तस्मिन् निपतिते भूमाव् अथ सा चारुहासिनी ॥
पुनः पीनायतश्रोणी दर्शयाम् आस तं नृपम् ॥
अथाबभाषे कल्याणी वाचा मधुरया नृपम् ॥
तं कुरूणां कुलकरं कामाभिहतचेतसम् ॥

atha tasyām adṛśyāyāṃ nṛpatiḥ kāmamohitaḥ ||
pātanaḥ śatrusaṃghānāṃ papāta dharaṇītale ||
tasmin nipatite bhūmāv atha sā cāruhāsinī ||
punaḥ pīnāyataśroṇī darśayām āsa taṃ nṛpam ||
athābabhāṣe kalyāṇī vācā madhurayā nṛpam ||
taṃ kurūṇāṃ kulakaraṃ kāmābhihatacetasam ||

Translation

The gandharva said: "And so, when she had become invisible, the king, bewildered by passion, the queller of hostile hosts, fell to the ground. When he had fallen, that sweetly smiling, full-hipped maiden appeared again before him and spoke in a sweet voice to the king, the maker of the Kuru line, whose mind was stricken by passion."
