एतस्मिन्न् अन्तरे पार्थः सज्जं कृत्वा महद् धनुः ॥
विशेषयिष्यन्न् आचार्यं सर्वास्त्रविदुषां वरम् ॥
मुमोच षट्शतान् बाणान् गृहीत्वैकम् इव द्रुतम् ॥
पुनः सप्त शतान् अन्यान् सहस्रं चानिवर्तिनाम् ॥
चिक्षेपायुतशश् चान्यांस् ते ऽघ्नन् द्रोणस्य तां चमूम् ॥

etasminn antare pārthaḥ sajjaṃ kṛtvā mahad dhanuḥ ||
viśeṣayiṣyann ācāryaṃ sarvāstraviduṣāṃ varam ||
mumoca ṣaṭśatān bāṇān gṛhītvaikam iva drutam ||
punaḥ sapta śatān anyān sahasraṃ cānivartinām ||
cikṣepāyutaśaś cānyāṃs te 'ghnan droṇasya tāṃ camūm ||

Translation

At this moment Partha, having readied his great bow, wishing to surpass his teacher, the foremost of all masters of weapons, again loosed seven hundred more, and a thousand unswerving, and others he hurled by the tens of thousands — they struck that army of Drona.
