गुरुर् वान् मे त्रुः शिष्यः पुत्रमो ऽस्मि ते
चास्ति पुमांल् लोके यस् त्वां युधि रायेत्
संजय उवाच
वं ब्रुवाणो बीत्सुर् द्रधोत्सुकः
त्वरायुक्तो हाबाहुस् तत् सैन्यं मुपाद्रवत्

gurur bhan na me śatruḥ śiṣyaḥ putrasamo 'smi te ||
na sti sa pumāṃl loke yas tvāṃ yudhi pajayet ||
saṃjaya uvāca
evaṃ bruṇo bhatsur jayadrathavadhotsukaḥ ||
tvayukto mahus tat sainyaṃ samudravat ||

Translation

[Arjuna:] "You are my teacher, not my enemy; I am your disciple, like a son to you. And there is no man in the world who could conquer you in battle." Speaking thus, Bibhatsu, eager to kill Jayadratha, full of haste, the mighty-armed one, rushed toward that army.
