नैवातिशीता नात्युष्णा मनसश् च प्रहर्षिणी ॥
न शोको न जरा तस्यां क्षुत्पिपासे न चाप्रियम् ॥
न च दैन्यं क्लमो वापि प्रतिकूलं न चाप्य् उत ॥

Here Yama's abode appears not as a place of dread but as a hall of peace — free of grief and want. It is significant that the hall of death is free of suffering: for the righteous, the passage to Yama holds no terror, for peace awaits them there, not torment. Thus the scripture reveals that Yama's judgment is fearsome only to evildoers; and further comes its abundance.
