The hall of judgment turns out to be full of joy as well -- song, fragrance, and multitudes of the righteous. It is telling that the lord of retribution presides not over gloom but over rejoicing: justice faithful to dharma yields not fear but bliss for the good. So the text reveals the luminous countenance of Yama's hall; and Narada now brings his account to a close.
