मेढीभूतः कौरवाणां त्वम् अद्य; त्वय्य् आधीनं कुरुकुलम् आजमीढ ॥
पार्थान् बालान् वनवासप्रतप्तान्; गोपायस्व स्वं यशस् तात रक्षन् ॥
संधत्स्व त्वं कौरवान् पाण्डुपुत्रैर्; मा ते ऽन्तरं रिपवः प्रार्थयन्तु ॥
सत्ये स्थितास् ते नरदेव सर्वे; दुर्योधनं स्थापय त्वं नरेन्द्र ॥
meḍhībhūtaḥ kauravāṇāṃ tvam adya; tvayy ādhīnaṃ kurukulam ājamīḍha ||
pārthān bālān vanavāsaprataptān; gopāyasva svaṃ yaśas tāta rakṣan ||
saṃdhatsva tvaṃ kauravān pāṇḍuputrair; mā te 'ntaraṃ ripavaḥ prārthayantu ||
satye sthitās te naradeva sarve; duryodhanaṃ sthāpaya tvaṃ narendra ||
So let your sons cherish the Pandavas, and let the Pandavas likewise care for your sons. O king, let the Kurus and the Pandavas, sharing the same friends and the same enemies, live together in happiness and prosperity. Today, O king, you are the refuge of the sons of Kuru. Indeed, O Ajamidha, the race of Kuru depends upon you. O sovereign, keeping your fame unstained, cherish the children of Pandu, who have suffered the torments of exile. O descendant of Kuru, be reconciled with the sons of Pandu. Do not let enemies discover the gaps between you. All of them, O god among men, are devoted to truth. O king of men, lead Duryodhana away from his evil ways.'
