Thus addressed by Partha, Satyaki, slayer of enemy heroes, having said "so be it," went to where King Yudhishthira was.

The chapter closes with the obedience of the faithful: "tathā iti uktvā agamat" — "having said 'so be it,' he went." Satyaki, without contradiction, accepts the task entrusted to him — the guarding of the king. Tellingly, this most valiant warrior places his worth not in choosing the more glorious battle but in fulfilling the task entrusted to him. The verse teaches that faithfulness is measured by readiness to take not the most glorious place but the most needed one: a true companion goes where he is set for the common good, and in this humble obedience there is no less valor than in battle itself.
