प्रयान्तम् अर्जुनं सूता मागधाश् चैव तुष्टुवुः ॥
सजयाशीः सपुण्याहः सूतमागधनिस्वनः ॥
युक्तो वादित्रघोषेण तेषां रतिकरो ऽभवत् ॥

Traducción
Then, with the resounding of instruments and auspicious, fair hymns of praise, the sutas and magadhas extolled Arjuna as he went forth. With victorious blessings and cries of a blessed day, the din of sutas and magadhas, joined with the resounding of instruments, became a delight to them.

The departure is overshadowed by blessing: "sajayāśīḥ sapuṇyāhaḥ", with victorious wishes and cries of "a blessed day". Praise and music accompany the warrior not for vanity's sake but as a rite of farewell. It is telling that this harmony "ratikaraḥ abhavat", became a delight to hearts — the army's spirit is strengthened. The verse teaches that a good word and a blessing on the road are no empty pageantry but a support for the spirit: a parting hymn of praise and a wish of good fill the heart with delight and steel the resolve of one setting out on a hard task.
