स वध्यमानः समरे शैनेयस्य शरोत्तमैः ॥
प्राद्रवत् सा राजन् पुत्रो दुर्योनस्
प्लुतश् तो यानं चित्रसेस्य न्विनः
हाहाभूतं गच् चासीद् दृष्ट्वा राजानम् वे
ग्रस्यमानं सात्यकिना खे सोमम् राहुणा

sa vadhyamānaḥ samare śaineyasya śarottamaiḥ ||
prādravat saha jan putro duryodhanas tava ||
āplutaś ca tato naṃ citrasenasya dhanvinaḥ ||
bhūtaṃ jagac cād dṛṣṭvā nam āhave ||
grasyanaṃ tyaki khe somam iva huṇā ||

Traducción

He, being struck down in battle by the finest arrows of the son of Shini, suddenly fled, O king — your son Duryodhana. And the world resounded with cries of "alas," seeing the king in battle being swallowed by Satyaki, as the moon in the sky is swallowed by Rahu.
