Traducción

'He on whose strength, relying, in battle the sword was raised [and war was decided] — that Karna is defeated in the clash, and Jayadratha is slain. He who spoke harsh words to the Pandavas amid the assembly — that Karna is defeated in the clash, and Saindhava is felled. He on whose valor, relying, I deemed Achyuta, who asked for peace, worthless as grass — that Karna is defeated in battle.' Thus, with downcast spirit, O king, your son, guilty before the whole world, approached to see Drona, O bull among the Bharatas. Then he told him all of it — the great slaughter of the Kurus, and of the enemies who had been triumphing, and of the Dhartarashtras who had been sinking.
