Traducción

Having repelled those streams of arrows from the kings, the maharatha struck at yokes, poles, parasols, at banners, and at horses. Then those kings, thrown into confusion, harried by Karna, scattered now here, now there, like cows tormented by cold. We saw, here and there, hosts of slaughtered horses, elephants, and warriors too, felled by Karna. With fallen heads and arms strewn everywhere, the whole earth of brave, unyielding men was covered. With the slain and the being slain, and with groans everywhere, the battlefield became dreadful, resembling the city of Vaivasvata [Yama].
