The description of the seals proceeds mixed with promises, and these promises must be named directly: bhañjayati, «crushes», and stambhayati, «paralyzes the one who hates». This is no longer worship, but abhicāra — sorcery, casting spells on a person. Tantric compendia know six such acts: śānti (pacification), vaśya (subjugation), stambhana (paralysis), vidveṣaṇa (setting at enmity), uccāṭana (banishment), and māraṇa (killing); the last four are directed against people.
The Vaishnava tradition does not accept them, and not for ritual reasons. One who paralyzes an enemy disposes of another's will without his consent; and consent is the one thing the Lord Himself does not take from a person — the Gītā ends with the words «act as you wish» (18.63). One who takes for himself a right He Himself does not take is not worshipping, but usurping.
Ahead there will be more such promises (73, 74, 78), and there is no need to repeat the objection every time. It suffices to say once: everything done to a person without his knowledge is wrong even when done by mantra — a mantra only gives it the appearance of a lawful act.
