वेगेनापततस् तांस् तु प्रभिन्नान् इव वारणान् ॥
पाण्डुपुत्रौ महावीर्यौ प्रतीयतुर् अरिंदमौ ॥
ततः समुत्पेतुर् उदायुधास् ते; महीक्षितो बद्धतलाङ्गुलित्राः ॥
जिघांसमानाः कुरुराजपुत्राव्; अमर्षयन्तो ऽर्जुनभीमसेनौ ॥

अनुवाद

Those attacking swiftly, like maddened elephants, the two mighty-valored sons of Pandu, tamers of foes, met and repelled. Then those lords of the earth sprang up with weapons raised, with finger-guards and arm-guards fastened, wishing to kill the two Kuru princes, enraged at Arjuna and Bhimasena.
