Here the Lord discerns each of the brothers by his own marks. It is telling how precisely Krishna knows His own: one by incomparable strength, another by noble bearing and stature; not one of them is hidden from Him. Here it is disclosed that the Lord knows each devotee in his particularity: He does not blur them together but distinguishes them with a loving gaze. So the text shows Krishna's all-knowing closeness to the Pandavas; and beneath their beggar's rags He recognizes them all -- both the strong one and the king of dharma.
