कृतेन सज्येन हि कार्मुकेण; विद्धेन लक्ष्येण च संनिसृष्टा ॥
सेयं तथानेन महात्मनेह; कृष्णा जिता पार्थिवसंघमध्ये ॥
नैवंगते सौमकिर् अद्य राजा; संतापम् अर्हत्य् असुखाय कर्तुम् ॥
कामश् च यो ऽसौ द्रुपदस्य राज्ञः; स चापि संपत्स्यति पार्थिवस्य ॥

सा इयं तथा अनेन महात्मना इह कृष्णा जिता पार्थिवसंघमध्येsā iyaṃ tathā anena mahātmanā iha kṛṣṇā jitā pārthivasaṃghamadhyethus this Krishna has been won here by this great-souled one amid the assembly of kings;
न एवंगते सौमकिः अद्य राजा संतापम् अर्हति असुखाय कर्तुम्na evaṃgate saumakiḥ adya rājā saṃtāpam arhati asukhāya kartumsuch being the case, King Somaki (Drupada) ought not now give himself over to grief, to his own misery;
कामः च यः असौ द्रुपदस्य राज्ञः सः च अपि संपत्स्यति पार्थिवस्यkāmaḥ ca yaḥ asau drupadasya rājñaḥ saḥ ca api saṃpatsyati pārthivasyaand the desire that the king Drupada has, that too shall be fulfilled for that lord;

अनुवाद

"For she has indeed been won by the stringing of that bow and the piercing of that mark; thus has this Krishna been won here, amid the assembled kings, by this great-souled man. Such being the case, King Drupada, son of Somaka, ought not now give himself over to sorrow, to his own grief; and the desire that dwells in King Drupada's heart shall likewise be fulfilled."
