कुन्तीम् आसाद्य ता नार्यो द्रुपदस्य महात्मनः ॥
नाम संकीर्तयन्त्यस् ताः पादौ जग्मुः स्वमूर्धभिः ॥
कृष्णा च क्षौमसंवीता कृतकौतुकमङ्गला ॥
कृताभिवादना श्वश्र्वास् तस्थौ प्रह्वा कृताञ्जलिः ॥

अनुवाद
"Approaching Kunti, the wives of the great Drupada, announcing their names, bowed their heads to her feet; and Krishna, clad in silk, having completed the auspicious marriage rites, having paid homage to her mother-in-law, stood bowed, with joined palms."

Here the new bride shows exemplary humility before her mother-in-law. It is significant that Draupadi, a princess and a goddess, bows with joined palms: high birth does not exempt one from reverence toward the elders of the household. True nobility is crowned by humility. Thus the scripture shows Draupadi's fine conduct, and her bow opens the way to Kunti's blessing.
