क्षणा लवा मुहूर्ताश् च दिवा रात्रिस् तथैव च ॥
अर्धमासाश् च मासाश् च ऋतवः षट् च भारत ॥
संवत्सराः पञ्चयुगम् अहोरात्राश् चतुर्विधाः ॥
कालचक्रं च यद् दिव्यं नित्यम् अक्षयम् अव्ययम् ॥

Here Time itself, in all its measures, stands before the Creator. It is telling that Time, before which all things pass away, itself remains a servant to the Forefather: he who is above time is not subject to it. So the text reveals the Creator's dominion over Time itself; and next come the mothers of creation.
