विदुरस्य मतं ज्ञात्वा धृतराष्ट्रो ऽम्बिकासुतः ॥
दुर्योधनम् इदं वाक्यम् उवाच विजने पुनः ॥
अलं द्यूतेन गान्धारे विदुरो न प्रशंसति ॥
न ह्य् असौ सुमहाबुद्धिर् अहितं नो वदिष्यति ॥
हितं हि परमं मन्ये विदुरो यत् प्रभाषते ॥
क्रियतां पुत्र तत् सर्वम् एतन् मन्ये हितं तव ॥

अनुवाद

Having learned Vidura's opinion, Dhritarashtra, son of Ambika, again spoke this word to Duryodhana in private: "Enough of gambling, O son of Gandhari; Vidura does not approve of it; for he, being of very great wisdom, will not tell us anything unbeneficial. I consider what Vidura says to be the highest good; let all of that be done, son — this I consider to be your good."
