तत्र मां यमजौ दूराद् आलोक्य ललितौ किल ॥
बाहुभिः परिगृह्णीतां शोचन्तौ सहिताव् उभौ ॥
उवाच सहदेवस् तु तत्र मां विस्मयन्न् इव ॥
इदं द्वारम् इतो गच्छ राजन्न् इति पुनः पुनः ॥
नामधेयानि रत्नानां पुरस्तान् न श्रुतानि मे ॥
यानि दृष्टानि मे तस्यां मनस् तपति तच् च मे ॥

uvāca sahadevas tu tatra māṃ vismayann iva ||

nāmadheyāni ratnānāṃ purastān na śrutāni me ||
yāni dṛṣṭāni me tasyāṃ manas tapati tac ca me ||

शब्दशः अर्थ

तत्र मां यमजौ दूराद्tatra māṃ yamajau dūrādthere the twins, from afar,
आलोक्य ललितौ किलālokya lalitau kilahaving seen [me], graceful [as they were], they say,
बाहुभिः परिगृह्णीतांbāhubhiḥ parigṛhṇītāṃcaught hold of me with their arms,
शोचन्तौ सहिताव् उभौśocantau sahitāv ubhaugrieving [in pretense], both together;
उवाच सहदेवस् तुuvāca sahadevas tuand Sahadeva said
तत्र मां विस्मयन्न् इवtatra māṃ vismayann ivato me there, as if in astonishment:
इदं द्वारम् इतो गच्छidaṃ dvāram ito gaccha'here is the door, go this way,
राजन्न् इति पुनः पुनःrājann iti punaḥ punaḥO king' — again and again;
नाम-धेयानि रत्नानांnāma-dheyāni ratnānāṃthe names of the jewels,
पुरस्तान् न श्रुतानि मेpurastān na śrutāni menever heard by me before,
यानि दृष्टानि मे तस्यांyāni dṛṣṭāni me tasyāṃwhich I saw in that [hall], —
मनस् तपति तच् च मेmanas tapati tac ca meand over that too my mind burns."

अनुवाद

"— there the twins, seeing me from afar, graceful as they were, caught hold of me with their arms, both together, grieving in pretense. And Sahadeva, as if in astonishment, kept saying to me there again and again: 'Here is the door, go this way, O king.' And the names of the jewels, never heard by me before, which I saw in that hall — over that too my mind burns."
