थाश्वनागानां प्रवृत्तम् रोत्तरम्
क्रव्यादानां प्रमोदार्थं राष्ट्रविवृद्धये
वानानि कृन्मूत्रे मुमुचू रुरुदुश्
तान् दृष्ट्वा दारुणान् र्वान् त्पातांल् लोर्षणान्
र्वे ते व्यथिताः सैन्यास् त्वदीया र्ष
श्रुत्वा हास्योग्रां प्रतिज्ञां व्यसाचिनः

अनुवाद

The chariots, horses, men and elephants began to be overturned — to the delight of the flesh-eaters, for the swelling of Yama's kingdom. The draft animals dropped dung and urine and wept. Having beheld all those dreadful, chilling omens, all your troops were shaken, O bull among the Bharatas, upon hearing the terrible vow of the mighty Savyasachin.
