पाञ्चजन्यस्य निर्घोषम् आर्षभेणैव पूरितम् ॥
श्रुत्वा तु भैरवं नादम् उपयाया जवेन माम् ॥
एकाह्नाहम् अमर्षं च सर्वदुःखानि चैव ह ॥
भ्रातुः पितृष्वसेयस्य व्यपनेष्यामि दारुक ॥

अनुवाद
"But when you hear the roar of Panchajanya, filled with sound like the bellow of a bull, terrible, come rushing to me at once. In a single day I will dispel both the wrath and all the sorrows of my brother — the son of my father's sister [Arjuna], O Daruka."

Krishna promises: "ekāhnā… amarṣaṃ ca sarvaduḥkhāni ca… vyapaneṣyāmi", 'in a single day I will dispel both the wrath and all the sorrows' of Arjuna. It is telling that he calls him "bhrātuḥ", 'brother' — Arjuna, son of his aunt Kunti — and the friend's grief becomes his own. The conch Panchajanya will become the call at whose sound Daruka comes rushing. The verse teaches that the Lord himself undertakes to remove the devotee's sorrow: what has weighed on the heart for years he is able to dispel in a single day — for the loving God knows no grief as foreign, and he bears the servant's sorrow as his own kin's.
