इयेष पाण्डवस् तस्य बाणैश् छेत्तुं शरासनम् ॥
तस्य चिन्तयतस् त्व् एवं फल्गुनस्य महात्मनः ॥
द्रोणः शरैर् असंभ्रान्तो ज्यां चिच्छेदाशु वीर्यवान् ॥
विव्याध च हयान् अस्य ध्वजं सारथिम् एव च ॥
अर्जुनं च शरैर् वीरं स्मयमानो ऽभ्यवाकिरत् ॥

iyeṣa pāṇḍavas tasya bāṇaiś chettuṃ śarāsanam ||
tasya cintayatas tv evaṃ phalgunasya mahātmanaḥ ||

vivyādha ca hayān asya dhvajaṃ sārathim eva ca ||

अनुवाद

The Pandava resolved to cut his bow with arrows; but while he, Phalguna the great-souled, was thus intent, Drona pierced his horses, banner, and charioteer, and showered Arjuna the hero with arrows, smiling.
