अनुवाद
The two Pāñcāla guardians of the wheel, Yudhāmanyu and Uttamaujas, great of soul, followed after him as he entered your army. Then Jaya, O great king, and Kṛtavarman the Sātvata, and Kāmboja, and Śrutāyus blocked Dhanañjaya's path.

The faithful "cakrarakṣau," the guardians of the wheel, follow Arjuna, protecting his rear — an image of comradeship in a righteous cause. And the enemies — Jaya, Kṛtavarman, Kāmboja, Śrutāyus — rise as a barrier. It is telling that around one advancing toward his goal both protectors and obstacles close in. The verse teaches that a righteous resolve is never left alone, nor does it go unopposed: the faithful guard the one who advances, the unrighteous bar his way; and every path to a high goal runs between these two — the support of friends and the resistance of those who stand for wrong.
