तः र्वेषु सैन्येषु वादित्राणि प्रहृष्टवत्
प्रावाद्यन् तिक्रान्ते पुत्रे नंयम्
सिंनावाश् चासञ् ङ्खदुन्दुभिमिश्रिताः
दृष्ट्वा दुर्योनं त्र कृष्णयोः प्रमुखे स्थितम्
ये ते सिन्धुरास्य गोप्तारः पाकोमाः
ते प्रहृष्यन्त रे दृष्ट्वा पुत्रं वाभिभो
दृष्ट्वा दुर्योनं कृष्णस् त्व् तिक्रान्तं हानुगम्
ब्रवीद् र्जुनं राजन् प्राप्तकालम् दं चः

ye ca te sindhujasya goptāraḥ vakopamāḥ ||
te prahṛṣyanta samare dṛṣṭvā putraṃ tabhibho ||
dṛṣṭvā duryodhanaṃ kṛṣṇas tv atikrāntaṃ sanugam ||
abrad arjunaṃ jan prāptalam idaṃ vacaḥ ||

तव पुत्रे धनंजयम्tava putre dhanaṃjayamyour son, Dhananjaya; your son, Dhananjaya
सिंहनादरवाः च आसन्siṃhanādaravāḥ ca āsanand there were lion-roars; and there were lion-roars
शङ्खदुन्दुभिमिश्रिताःśaṅkhadundubhimiśritāḥmingled with conches and kettledrums; mingled with conches and kettledrums
दृष्ट्वा दुर्योधनम् तत्रdṛṣṭvā duryodhanam tatrahaving seen Duryodhana there; having beheld Duryodhana there
कृष्णयोः प्रमुखे स्थितम्kṛṣṇayoḥ pramukhe sthitamstanding before the two Krishnas; standing before the two Krishnas
ये च ते सिन्धुराजस्यye ca te sindhurājasyaand those who of the king of Sindhu; and those who of the Sindhu king
गोप्तारः पावकोपमाःgoptāraḥ pāvakopamāḥwere protectors, fire-like; were the protectors, resembling fire

अनुवाद

Then in all the armies the [musical] instruments struck up joyfully, when your son had barred the way of Dhananjaya. And there were lion-roars mingled with conches and kettledrums, when Duryodhana was seen there standing before the two Krishnas. And those who were the protectors of the king of Sindhu, fire-like, rejoiced in the battle at the sight of your son, O lord. Having seen Duryodhana gone ahead with his retinue, Krishna then spoke to Arjuna, O king, this timely word.
