ततः प्रहृष्टो दाशार्हः पाण्डवश् च धनंजयः ॥
व्याक्रोशेतां महानादं दध्मतुश् चाम्बुजोत्तमौ ॥
तौ हृष्टरूपौ संप्रेक्ष्य कौरवेयाश् च सर्वशः ॥
निराशाः समपद्यन्त पुत्रस्य तव जीविते ॥
शोकम् ईयुः परं चैव कुरवः सर्व एव ते ॥
अमन्यन्त च पुत्रं ते वैश्वानरमुखे हुतम् ॥

tataḥ prahṛṣṭo dāśārhaḥ pāṇḍavaś ca dhanaṃjayaḥ ||
vyākrośetāṃ mahānādaṃ dadhmatuś cāmbujottamau ||
tau hṛṣṭarūpau saṃprekṣya kauraveyāś ca sarvaśaḥ ||
nirāśāḥ samapadyanta putrasya tava jīvite ||
śokam īyuḥ paraṃ caiva kuravaḥ sarva eva te ||
amanyanta ca putraṃ te vaiśvānaramukhe hutam ||

पाण्डवः च धनंजयःpāṇḍavaḥ ca dhanaṃjayaḥand the Pandava Dhananjaya; and the Pandava Dhananjaya
व्याक्रोशेताम् महानादम्vyākrośetām mahānādamraised a great cry; raised a great shout
दध्मतुः च अम्बुजोत्तमौdadhmatuḥ ca ambujottamauand blew their two finest conch shells; and sounded their two finest conches
तौ हृष्टरूपौ संप्रेक्ष्यtau hṛṣṭarūpau saṃprekṣyaseeing those two of joyful appearance; beholding those two of joyful aspect
कौरवेयाः च सर्वशःkauraveyāḥ ca sarvaśaḥand the Kauravas everywhere; and the Kauravas on every side
निराशाः समपद्यन्तnirāśāḥ samapadyantalost hope; gave up hope
पुत्रस्य तव जीवितेputrasya tava jīvitefor the life of your son; for your son's life
शोकम् ईयुः परम् च एवśokam īyuḥ param ca evaand fell into deep grief; and sank into great sorrow
कुरवः सर्वे एव तेkuravaḥ sarve eva teall those Kurus; all those Kurus

वैश्वानरमुखे हुतम्vaiśvānaramukhe hutamalready offered into the mouth of the fire; already offered into fire's mouth
अनुवाद

Then the joyful Dasharha and the Pandava Dhananjaya raised a great cry and blew their two finest conches. Seeing those two of joyful aspect, the Kauravas everywhere lost all hope for the life of your son, and all those Kurus fell into deep grief, deeming your son already an offering cast into the mouth of the fire.
