ततस् ते भ्रातरः पञ्च शरैर् विद्धा महात्मना ॥
परिवार्य रथैर् वीरं विव्यधुः सायकैर् भृशम् ॥
आर्जुनिस् तु हयांस् तस्य चतुर्भिर् निशितैः शरैः ॥
प्रेषयाम् आस संक्रुद्धो यमस्य सदनं प्रति ॥

tatas te bhrātaraḥ pañca śarair viddhā mahātmanā ||
parivārya rathair vīraṃ vivyadhuḥ sāyakair bhṛśam ||
ārjunis tu hayāṃs tasya caturbhir niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ||
preṣayām āsa saṃkruddho yamasya sadanaṃ prati ||

ततः ते भ्रातरः पञ्चtataḥ te bhrātaraḥ pañcathen those five brothers; then those five brothers
शरैः विद्धाः महात्मनाśaraiḥ viddhāḥ mahātmanāpierced with arrows by the great-souled one; pierced by arrows of the great-souled one
परिवार्य रथैः वीरम्parivārya rathaiḥ vīramsurrounding the hero with chariots; encircling the hero with their chariots
विव्यधुः सायकैः भृशम्vivyadhuḥ sāyakaiḥ bhṛśampierced [him] sorely with shafts; struck [him] cruelly with arrows
आर्जुनिः तु हयान् तस्यārjuniḥ tu hayān tasyathe son of Arjuna, however, his horses; but the son of Arjuna, his horses
चतुर्भिः निशितैः शरैःcaturbhiḥ niśitaiḥ śaraiḥwith four sharp arrows; with four honed arrows
प्रेषयाम् आस संक्रुद्धःpreṣayām āsa saṃkruddhaḥsent, enraged; dispatched, infuriated
यमस्य सदनम् प्रतिyamasya sadanam pratito the abode of Yama; to the hall of Yama
अनुवाद

Then those five brothers, pierced by arrows of the great-souled one, surrounding the hero with their chariots, struck him sorely with shafts. And the son of Arjuna, enraged, sent his horses with four sharp arrows to the abode of Yama.
