अलम्बुसस् तु समरे भीमसेनं महाबलम् ॥
योधयाम् आस संक्रुद्धो लक्ष्मणं रावणिर् यथा ॥
संप्रयुद्धौ रणे दृष्ट्वा ताव् उभौ नरराक्षसौ ॥
विस्मयः सर्वभूतानां प्रहर्षश् चाभवत् तदा ॥
आर्ष्यशृङ्गिं ततो भीमो नवभिर् निशितैः शरैः ॥
विव्याध प्रहसन् राजन् राक्षसेन्द्रम् अमर्षणम् ॥

vismayaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ praharṣaś cābhavat tadā ||
ārṣyaśṛṅgiṃ tato bhīmo navabhir niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ||
vivyādha prahasan rājan rākṣasendram amarṣaṇam ||

अनुवाद

Alambusa, in the battle, enraged, challenged the mighty Bhimasena to combat, as the son of Ravana [Indrajit] once challenged Lakshmana. Seeing those two—man and rakshasa—locked in battle, all beings were seized then with amazement and joy. Then Bhima, smiling, O king, pierced the lord of rakshasas, the unyielding son of Rishyashringa, with nine sharp arrows.
