तेषां प्रयततां युद्धे शरवर्षाणि मुञ्चताम् ॥
योधान् पञ्चशतान् मुख्यान् अग्रानीके व्यपोथयत् ॥
ते ऽपतन्त हतास् तूर्णं शिनिप्रवरसायकैः ॥
महामारुतवेगेन रुग्णा इव महाद्रुमाः ॥

अनुवाद
Of those striving in battle, pouring down showers of arrows, [Satyaki] crushed five hundred foremost warriors in the vanguard. They fell at once, slain by the arrows of the foremost of the Shini clan, like great trees snapped by the blast of a mighty wind.

Five hundred fall "rugṇā iva mahādrumāḥ," like trees felled by a storm: the force of one man, like a hurricane, lays low an entire grove. It is notable that this disproportion again reveals the terror of a single figure. The verse teaches that the driven force of one man, grounded in truth, acts like an elemental force: where others topple like broken trees, the one man, like a storm, passes through unchecked, for behind him stands a might beyond that of ordinary men.
