थान्यद् नुर् दा पुत्रस् नेश्व
सात्यकिं भिर् विद्ध्वा सिंनादं ना
सात्यकिस् तु णे क्रुद्धो मोयित्वा सुतं
रैर् ग्निशिखाकारैर् घा स्तनान्तरे
र्वासैस् तीक्ष्णक्त्रैर् ष्टाभिर् विव्यधे पुनः
दुःशानस् तु विंत्या सात्यकिं प्रत्यविध्य
सात्वतो ऽपि हारा तं विव्या स्तनान्तरे
त्रिभिर् हावेगैः रैः संर्वभिः

tyakiṃ daśabhir viddhvā siṃhadaṃ nada ha ||
tyakis tu raṇe kruddho mohayitvā sutaṃ tava ||

sarvāyasais tīkṣṇavaktrair aṣṭābhir vivyadhe punaḥ ||
duḥśāsanas tu viṃśatyā tyakiṃ pratyavidhyata ||
tvato 'pi maja taṃ vivyādha stantare ||
tribhir eva mavegaiḥ śaraiḥ saṃnataparvabhiḥ ||

अथ अन्यत् धनुः आदायatha anyat dhanuḥ ādāyathen, taking another bow; then, having taken another bow
पुत्रः तव जनेश्वरputraḥ tava janeśvarayour son, O lord of men; your son, O lord of men
सात्यकिम् दशभिः विद्ध्वाsātyakim daśabhiḥ viddhvāhaving pierced Satyaki with ten; piercing Satyaki with ten
सिंहनादम् ननाद हsiṃhanādam nanāda halet out a lion's roar; let out a lion's roar
सात्यकिः तु रणे क्रुद्धःsātyakiḥ tu raṇe kruddhaḥSatyaki, however, enraged in battle; but Satyaki, enraged in the fight
मोहयित्वा सुतम् तवmohayitvā sutam tavahaving bewildered your son; bewildering your son
शरैः अग्निशिखाकारैःśaraiḥ agniśikhākāraiḥwith arrows shaped like tongues of flame; with arrows like flames' tips
आजघान स्तनान्तरेājaghāna stanāntarestruck [him in] the chest; struck him between the breasts
दुःशासनः तु विंशत्याduḥśāsanaḥ tu viṃśatyābut Duhshasana with twenty; but Duhshasana with twenty
सात्यकिम् प्रत्यविध्यतsātyakim pratyavidhyatapierced Satyaki in return; struck Satyaki back
सात्वतः अपि महाराजsātvataḥ api mahārājaand Satvata, O great king; and the Satvata, O great king
तम् विव्याध स्तनान्तरेtam vivyādha stanāntarepierced him [in] the chest; struck him between the breasts
अनुवाद

Then, taking up another bow, your son, O lord of men, pierced Satyaki with ten arrows and let out a lion's roar. Satyaki, enraged in the battle, bewildered your son and struck him in the chest with arrows like tongues of flame. Duhshasana then struck Satyaki back with twenty, and the Satvata struck him in the chest.
