Here the sage blesses the wife and sends her away for the sake of a private conversation. It is telling that Narada, having blessed Draupadi, asks her to withdraw: teaching the husbands about her is fitting to give without her present. Here we see the holy one's tact, which spares the wife's dignity. Thus the scripture shows Narada's courtesy; and alone with the brothers he will reveal his concern for their harmony.
