पुष्पिताग्रेषु शालेषु विहारम् अभिजग्मतुः ॥

Here, on the very ground where austerity was performed, revelry now holds sway. It is significant that the Vindhya, once witness to their asceticism, has become the scene of their dissipation: where severity was, indulgence now reigns. Herein lies a lesson: the fall takes place on the same ground where the ascent occurred. Thus the scripture shows the change from tapas to pleasures; and it is here that fate will overtake them.
