Vaishampayana said: "He to whom the whole world bows bent his head to the feet of his father's sister, Kunti; and Keshava was kissed on the head and embraced by her."

It is significant that He before whom the universe bows Himself bows His head to the feet of His aunt. Here greatness reveals itself in humility: the higher one's true worth, the deeper one's reverence toward elders. And Kunti responds not with awe but with a mother's tenderness — a kiss on the head. Thus scripture shows the mutual love between the Lord and His kin; and Krishna now turns to His sister.
