कथयिष्ये तथेन्द्रस्य कैलासनिलयस्य च ॥
ब्रह्मणश् च सभां दिव्यां कथयिष्ये गतक्लमाम् ॥
यदि ते श्रवणे बुद्धिर् वर्तते भरतर्षभ ॥

译文
"But I shall tell of the hall of the king of the ancestors [Yama], and of wise Varuna, and also of Indra and of the one who dwells on Kailasa [Kubera]; and I shall tell of the divine hall of Brahma, where weariness is unknown — if you have the desire to listen, O bull among the Bharatas."

Here the conversation raises the mind from an earthly palace to the abodes of the guardians of the world and to the hall of the Creator. It is significant that Narada asks consent to listen: higher knowledge is given only to one ready to receive it. Thus the scripture shows an ascent from the visible to the transcendent; and Yudhishthira gladly agrees.
