प्रादुश्चक्रे ततः पार्थः शाक्रम् अस्त्रं महारथः ॥
तस्माद् आसन् सहस्राणि शराणां नतपर्वणाम् ॥
ते जघ्नुस् तौ महेष्वासौ ताभ्यां सृष्टांश् च सायकान् ॥
विचेरुर् आकाशगताः पार्थबाणविदारिताः ॥

Then Partha, the great warrior, revealed the weapon of Shakra [Indra]; from it arose thousands of arrows with smooth joints. They struck those two great archers, and the shafts loosed by them ranged, risen into the sky, cleft by Partha's arrows.

Waking, Arjuna does not delay, but reveals "śākram astram," the weapon of Indra, his heavenly father. The gift won by austerity and heaven answers the enemy's blow. Telling is it that strength returns to him together with consciousness. The verse teaches that the righteous man, rising from weakness, acts with the full strength given to him: once restored, he does not falter but turns at once upon the foe the highest that has been entrusted to him; and what restored him to life is at once turned into the fulfillment of duty.
