प्रतिहत्य शरांस् तूर्णं शरवेगेन पाण्डवः ॥
प्रतस्थे तत्र तत्रैव योधयन् वै महारथान् ॥
तौ च फल्गुनबाणौघैर् विबाहुशिरसौ कृतौ ॥
वसुधाम् अन्वपद्येतां वातनुन्नाव् इव द्रुमौ ॥
श्रुतायुषश् च निधनं वधश् चैवाच्युतायुषः ॥
लोकविस्मापनम् अभूत् समुद्रस्येव शोषणम् ॥

译文

Parrying the arrows swiftly with the speed of his own arrows, the Pandava advanced here and there, slaying the great warriors. And the two, made bereft of arms and heads by the floods of Phalguna's arrows, fell upon the earth like trees toppled by the wind. And the death of Shrutayus, and the slaying of Achyutayus, were a wonder to the world, like the drying up of the ocean.
