स यूपः काञ्चनो राजन् सौमदत्तेर् विराजते ॥
राजसूये मखश्रेष्ठे यथा यूपः समुच्छ्रितः ॥

译文
"Of Somadatta's son [Bhurishravas], devout in sacrifices, wise, the banner — a [sacrificial] post — shines like the sun, and the moon too is seen here. That golden post, O king, shines upon Somadatta's son, as the raised post at the Rajasuya, best of sacrifices."

Bhurishravas's emblem is the "yūpa", the sacrificial post, as at the Rajasuya: the sign of one who is "yajñaśīla", devoted to sacrifice. But the battle itself will turn into a sacrifice for him — he will fall here as an offering. It is telling that the sign of a sacred rite shades one going to his death. The verse teaches that all warfare appears as a sacrifice, where warriors are both priests and victims; and whoever bears a sacrificial post on his banner is destined himself to become an offering on the altar of war.
