विकृष्य कार्मुकं घोरं भासानम् त्तमम्
म्बुसं रैस् तीक्ष्णैर् र्दयाम् र्वतः
विद्धो हुभिर् बाणैर् नीलाञ्जयोमः
शुशुभे र्वतो राजन् प्रदीप्त किंशुकः
ध्यमानः रे भीचाच्युतैः रैः
स्मरन् भ्रातृधं चै पाण्डवे हात्मना

Then, coming back to his senses, the son of the Wind, overcome with wrath, drew his terrible bow—that burdensome, finest of weapons. Pierced by many arrows, resembling a heap of dark collyrium, he shone on every side, O king, like a blazing kimshuka tree. And that rakshasa, struck in the battle by the arrows loosed from Bhima's bow, remembering the slaying of his brother by the great-souled Pandava...
