译文
Then Drona pierced the grandson of Shini in the forehead with three variegated, wholly-iron arrows shaped like vipers. With those straight-flying arrows lodged in his forehead, Yuyudhana shone, O great king, like a three-peaked mountain.

Arrows in the brow turn into beauty: Satyaki shines, "triśṛṅga iva parvataḥ," like a three-peaked mountain. Wounds again become an ornament of valor, not a disgrace. It is telling that the epic sees in the wounded man a majestic beauty. The verse teaches that trial does not disfigure the steadfast but crowns him: what should have humbled him instead makes him like a mountain with three shining peaks — for a spirit unshaken by the blow transforms the very wound into a sign of greatness.
